Don’t wait for signs of a leak
The single, most cost-effective way to maximize roof performance and longevity is being proactive with preventive maintenance. Remaining diligent to basic maintenance minimizes the total and annualized cost of ownership of the roofing system. You wouldn’t go years without changing your car’s oil or rotating its tires and not expect your vehicle’s performance to suffer. Why would your roof be any different?
An organized approach to roof asset management leads to a responsible, timely preparation of long-term capital expenditures. Spending a little bit today may go a long way in saving a tremendous amount of time and money tomorrow. Contact us today to schedule your Fall Maintenance. Or call 586-949-4777.
Costly repairs getting you down?
Warren MI company uses 2018 Section 179 tax deduction
A manufacturing company and long-time Schena Roofing customer was experiencing ongoing and costly maintenance and repair for its 25,000 square foot building. Up to now, the owner was successful in putting off full replacement. The Section 179 tax code offered a great incentive to spend money this year for a complete roof replacement rather than wait. By taking advantage of this generous tax code, the company saved $57,750.00! The 2018 Section 179 code allows businesses to write off the entire purchase of qualifying property* for the current tax year (up to $1,000,000).
Section 179 can change each year without notice, but we are hoping the code will extend through 2019 so more of our customers can take advantage of this tax code while it’s available.
*Definition of qualified property expanded to include improvements to non-residential roofs, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning property; fire protection and alarm systems; and security systems.
